2012 ! A great year for Zelzah or a wing-ding party as described by the Mayas. I believe that it’s going to be a great year. Most of the programs that were started back when lll. Sir Roy was still Potentate are moving forward with great success.

Public awareness has improved over this last year by leaps and bounds. Noble Joe Alvarado and his public relations group have done an outstanding job getting Zelzah Shriners and Zelzah Temple in the public eye. We have Congressmen, Mayors, Councilpersons, City Leaders, Radio and TV stations who are far more aware of who Shriners are and what we do for the children of southern Nevada.

As I said this is going to be a great year. A year for fellowship, camaraderie, and brotherly love. A year of fun! A temple of fun! A place where a noble can bring his wife, family or friends to have dinner, a dance, etc. and have a great time. A place where a noble can bring his next door neighbor, his best friend and/or his son and be proud to be introduced to Masonry and Shrinedom.

This year with the help of our Ladies, the Rainbow girls, Jobs daughters, and the DeMolay, many of the jobs within the temple will get done. We will still need help for many of our projects throughout the year such as at the poker tournament (with Gods help it will be successful), the nobles in their fez’s, at the casino, welcoming the players as they arrive, the clubs and units to sell the onions, but most important to Zelzah we need your help with membership. We have been going down in membership for the last upteen years, it must stop. I have asked Ill Sir Bob Norton to put together a group of Shriners and Masons to improve the overall strength of the masonry world in southern Nevada. He will need a lot of support and would welcome any and all help.

Last but not least I need more aides and bartenders. Anyone who would like to serve the temple as an aide or bartender please call me at 245-9329.
